Having The Book Faery Reviews review and post our opinion about your novel is a great way to inform our readers about your story and website.

Review Requirements:

In order for The Book Faery Reviews to review your book, you must send a non-returnable book, audio CD, or non-expire code to an e-book written/spoken in English for us to review. We always give our honest opinion in our posts and we won’t claim to like something that we have not read!

We are an ECLECTIC book blog now with multiple reviewers who read a variety of genres.

If we read at least the first 5 chapters of the book but discontinue we will either write a semi-review with reasons why we could not continue reading it or just post a book spotlight. We do this because we realize that while we might not have been able to get into it, someone else might.

Author Interviews & Guest Posts:

Author interviews and guest posts are another way to get exposure to readers. Interviews and guest posts MUST be received AT LEAST 3 days PRIOR to the scheduled date.

Authors and guest writers may send us links, videos, and any images for their scheduled post. If an image or video is VERY graphic (very sexual &/or extreme violence) we will only add a link to the location with a warning that it is intended for those 18+ yrs old. We will not post the actual image/video on The Book Faery Reviews.

Sponsor a Giveaway:

Another great way to spread the word about your products (books, audio books, ebooks, book accessories, etc)  is to sponsor a reader giveaway. We will ask you to send a book copy or any other giveaway item first as compensation for our time, and then you will hold products aside to ship directly to the giveaway winner(s).

I’m very flexible with giveaways, simply let me know what you would like me to give away, how many of each item, who can enter, and for how long you would like to run the giveaway (otherwise we will run through the remainder of the month it’s scheduled).

We will run the giveaway via Rafflecopter, collect the addresses, and forward the winner’s information to you for direct shipping.

Giveaways are VERY popular and great when accompanying a guest post or interview!

Scheduling:

Scheduled blog tours, author interviews, and guest posts will receive high priority over other book requests.  We do our best to try to read/post all ARCs before the release date (you must let us know when it’s scheduled for release).

Reading materials MUST be received AT LEAST 2-3 WEEKS PRIOR (preferably earlier) to the scheduled review date.  If they are not received in time, a review may not be posted on the scheduled date.

Post Format:

Each post will include the book cover, link to author website, link to purchase, book summary, and our personal thoughts about the book if it is a review.

Authors and guest writers may send links, videos, and any images for their scheduled post. Who gets Notified:

Book Faery Review reviews are currently also posted at Amazon and Goodreads. Links to the reviews are also posted on Facebook (both personal profile & The Book Faery Reviews Facebook Page)  and Google+ (Farrah Kennedy).

RSS auto feeds are located in various social networks: Book Blog, Facebook, Myspace, Mom Bloggers Club, Twitter Moms Club, Mom Spark, BlogCatalog, Mybloglogs, Cafemom, Twitter (@farrah1230), Ruthie Talk, Romance Readers & Writers, BlogFrog, Notes from Two Sisters, Nerd Girl Central, and Blogamama.

The Book Faery Review also has RSS readers & e-mail subscribers who receive notifications of the latest updates.

    Behind Closed Doors

    Elizabeth Marshall
    spent the last nine years doing all the things she was supposed to do. She went
    to a good college. Married a man with a promising future. Elizabeth even had a
    nice house in a respectable part of town. There was even the promise of 2.4
    kids in her future. From the outside everything looked picture perfect.

    Then one night, the
    world she lived in came crashing down. Six months later with her husband dead
    and her friends gone, Elizabeth moves to the small town of Springfield, Ohio to
    start a new life where no one knows who she is or about her past.

    enjoys the simplicity of his bachelor life. After his divorce three years ago,
    he swore off women. He has no desire to change that philosophy.

    When Elizabeth
    Marshall moves into the apartment below his in the small Victorian house, she

     I have a suggestion for a book review. I’m a new author and my first
    book is my self published autobiography. Take a look at my description
    and see if you are interested.

    My autobiography is entitled “Still Walking”. The centerpiece of the
    book is a body surfing injury that occurred when I was 21 years old that
    left me paralyzed from the chest down. At that point in life, I was
    faced with a variety of limitations and uncertainties. My choice was to
    live life to the fullest. I have learned many invaluable lessons about
    life and share them throughout the book. The underlying theme is about
    focusing on what we can do, appreciating what we do have and never
    giving up. I am honest about my life. Some of the book is funny, some of
    it is emotionally touching, all of it is real. My goal in the book is to
    provide a positive reminder that no matter what limitations and problems
    we face, we can still be happy, successful and live full lives.

                My name is
    Samuel Bagby and I am an independent author. I have a novel entitled Lily:
    The Story of a Life which is offered for sale on Amazon Kindle Store. I am
    writing to inquire if you might consider reviewing the novel for your website.
    The plot runs something like this:

    Stephen Flashman
    loves sex. As a womanizer, he’s been using women for sex all his life. Flashman
    is what we would call in these latter days an amoral creature, a free and
    independent operator looking for nothing more than the next score. As far as
    the ugly side of casual hookups is concerned, Flashman is ruthless and unmoved:
    he experiences none of the emotional fallout from casual sex, for he has
    detached his heart from the all-important business of satisfying the libido,
    which as he sees it, is simply the calculus of getting one’s needs met in an
    increasingly individualistic society—it is what every mature person seeking
    fortune and pleasure must inevitably do.

    But
    there are two women who leave an indelible mark upon Flashman’s life, two women
    whose memory he somehow cannot lay to rest in a sea of forgettable conquests.
    Diane Densher is one of those women: she is incredibly smart, savvy and
    ambitious, possessing in abundance all the traits Flashman has sought so
    arduously to develop in himself; she is an Ivy League graduate and a successful
    executive with a budding career on Wall Street—in short, she is everything
    Flashman had always aspired to be. No matter how many times Flashman sleeps
    with her, he never manages to possess her, to gain the upper hand as it were;
    there is something about her which tells Flashman that she secretly despises
    him, a subtly veiled conceit which regards him as not quite her equal, as
    someone she will eventually detach from and discard as she moves onward and
    upward, just as Flashman himself has done to so many women in his past. Diane
    does in fact break up with Flashman, suddenly and without warning: Flashman
    treats it like just another breakup, but deep down her rejection of him
    conjures forth insecurities from his past he had long kept repressed, along
    with a terrible nagging feeling which haunts him incessantly, that he could not
    keep her because she recognized him as a failure and unworthy to be her mate—to
    Flashman their parting is not a matter of simple disconnect  between
    lovers but a judgment, a verdict upon his whole life and self-worth, and he is
    tormented ceaselessly by the need to somehow win her back. Noelle Cummings is
    just the opposite of her ambitious and serious-minded predecessor: she is a
    free spirit from her head to her toes, carried along by a simple and insatiable
    zest for life itself, to live each day as if it were her last.  Where
    Flashman is cerebral and cynical, Noelle is tactile and sanguine and eternally
    hopeful; for her life is not a matter of acquiring or achieving but
    experiencing, of living from moment to moment with contagious cheer and joyful
    expectancy, and she casts a wistful light into Flashman’s bleak inner
    world.  After breaking up with Noelle, Flashman is torn between his
    affections for both women when a sudden development turns his life upside down:
    Noelle reveals to him that she is pregnant with his child, but is anxious and
    fearful about raising a child on her own; she tells Flashman that she is
    thinking of terminating the pregnancy.

    For
    Flashman it is the moment which sears his heart, which tears at the very core
    of his being: with Diane showing signs of renewed interest, should Flashman
    continue to give chase to her, or should he devote his energies to Noelle and
    do all he can to ensure the birth of his child, while knowing his life will
    never be the same again?
                    

    This is Lily:
    a story of sex and relationships and the search for meaning, as men and women
    know it to be. Aside from the synopsis provided here, I think you might be
    interested in the excerpts of the story given on the novel’s Kindle page: it’s how a story is told that makes literature a
    pleasure for a reader, and in that respect I would love for you to look at a
    few passages and see if they grab you, if they spark something in you that
    drives you to read on and engage the text. Lily
    is a short work of fiction, a quick read paced all the way through with humor
    and pathos, and sporting a rather wicked twist at the very end.
