Review Policy
Are you a publisher, public relations guru for an author,
or even the actual author who would like me to host you and your story?
Get Your Novel Reviewed Here!
Having me review and post my opinion about your novel is a great way to inform my readers about your story and website.
**At this time I am NOT scheduling book reviews due to the overwhelming requests. I will read them as I am able to and post reviews once I’ve read them. I will try my best to read ARC’s prior to release dates.**
Review Requirements:
In order for me or a member of my family to review your book, you must send a non-returnable book or audio CD written/spoken in English for us to review. I always give my honest opinion in my posts and I won’t claim to like something that I or my children have not read!
I do have a higher preference for fiction (paranormal, historical, romance, horror, suspense, and inspirational) and self-help/living (home interior decorating, health, parenting, and self improvement) books but I am open to review something else.
At this time I am not accepting e-books UNLESS someone wants to offer an electronic device like a Kindle (*hint hint) to go with it for me to read it on. I want something I can easily carry around with me, be able to hold something in my hand and/or be able to listen to the story.
If you have a children’s book for review, my children are a boy age 8, a girl age 10, and a girl age 3 to give you an idea of what age level of reading that would be appropriate for my family.
If I or my children read more than half of the book but discontinue I will write a synopsis and then a semi-review as I state reasons why I could not continue reading it.
Author Interviews & Guest Posts:
Author interviews and guest posts are another way to get exposure to my readers. Interviews and guest posts MUST be received AT LEAST 3 days PRIOR to the scheduled date.
Please complete the below form for more details.
Authors and guest writers may send me links, videos, and any images for their scheduled post. If an image or video is VERY graphic (very sexual & extreme violence) I will only add a link to the location with a warning that it is intended for those 18+ yrs old. I will not post the actual image/video on The Book Faery Reviews. If no links or images have been provided (or at least a link to get links and images), they will not be included.
Sponsor a Giveaway:
Another great way to spread the word about your products is to sponsor a reader giveaway. I will ask you to send me a book or any other giveaway item first for me, and then you will hold products aside to ship directly to the giveaway winner(s).
I’m very flexible with giveaways, simply let me know what you would like me to give away, how many of each item, who can enter, and for how long you would like to run the giveaway (otherwise I will run through the remainder of the month).
I will run the giveaway, collect the addresses, and forward that information to you for direct shipping to the winner(s). Giveaways are hugely popular among bloggers right now!
Scheduling:
Scheduled blog tours, author interviews, and guest posts will receive high priority over other book requests. I do my best to try to read/post all ARCs before the release date (you must let me know when it’s scheduled for release) but at this time not scheduling book reviews.
Books/audio CDs MUST be received AT LEAST 2 WEEKS PRIOR to the scheduled review date. If they are not received in time, a review may not be posted on the scheduled date.
Post Format:
Each post will include the book cover, link to author website, link to purchase, synopsis, and my personal thoughts about the book if it is a review.
Authors and guest writers may send me links, videos, and any images for their scheduled post. If an image or video is VERY graphic (very sexual & extremely violent) I will only add a link to the location with a warning that it is intended for those 18+ yrs old. I will not post the actual image/video on The Book Faery Reviews.

Hello! Would you be interested in reviewing my forthcoming (July 2009) historical novel, THE BELLY DANCER. Here’s the jacket copy:
A scandal that shocks a nation…
A passion that transforms a woman…
At the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair, the modern, the exotic, and the ground-breaking collide as exhibitions from all corners of the globe draw millions of spectators. But Dora Chambers has more pressing matters to consider.
Dora has hopes to begin a long-dreamed-of life of wealth and privilege in Chicago. So she sets out to earn the approval of the local women of high society–the World Fair’s Board of Lady Managers–to appease her socially ambitious, aloof husband. Unimpressed with the young bride from New Orleans, they give her the distasteful task of enforcing proper conduct on the Egyptian belly dancing exhibition.
But Dora’s sensibilities are not so easily flustered by the dancers. She finds herself captivated by these exotic women, and by their enigmatic manager, Hossam Faruk, who makes his mistrust of her known–although his lingering glances hint at something else.
As Dora’s eyes are opened to the world beyond her own oppressive life of social expectations and quiet servitude, she finds the courage to break free of her self-imposed bondage, and discover the truth about the desire and passion in her own heart.
@ DeAnna: I would love to review your book!
