FROM THE BOOK FAERY REVIEWS…I just love making homemade gifts for Christmas. In fact I make it a point to make a couple of things. It’s really the only time of the year that I whip out my sewing machine, my craft supplies, and bake things. Homemade gifts are just personal and intimate to me. The gift might not have that store bought quality but it has my love stitched, glued, or baked into it.
A Homemade Christmas is a very simple book with very simple ideas for anyone to try. I picked up a couple simple idea reminders that I plan on embellishing on for this year’s gift giving and decorating season, but nothing that extravagant or that unique.
Is this book for the Martha Stewart gal or pal? No…it’s simple, nothing out of the ordinary, and doesn’t have all the nice photos to go with each idea. BUT it is a good starting point for the less crafty, kids, and those looking for an idea they can expand on.
