ABOUT THE AUTHOR…A native of Louisville, KY, Cheryl Brooks graduated from the Kentucky Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and then went on to earn a BSN from Indiana University. Horse crazy from the time she knew what a horse was, her family moved to rural Indiana in 1989. Since then, she’s managed to accumulate four horses and five cats. She’s been working full-time as a critical care nurse for more than thirty years which can be exciting, but she’s itching for a different kind of excitement!

As a writer, she finds that any fantasy you have can come true if you just write it down!She’s been keeping her friends entertained with her books for a number of years, and self-published a book in 2006, but Slave is the first of her books to be published with Sourcebooks Casablanca.

FROM THE BOOK FAERY REVIEWS…Hero is the last installment in Brooks’ series The Cat Star Chronicles. All 6 could easily be read separate from the previous books but all the more fun when all read. At #6 she definitely had me hating to see the end. Now I want to know what will happen with the Zetithian race! Who wouldn’t purr with delight (and heat) from this one? I know I did! Best of all she ended with a strong and independent female! Of the books I’ve read in the series, this one and Fugitive had to be my favorites.

NOTE…this is a VERY erotic fantasy book. Not for those who get squeamish when it comes to a very passionate “romp”.

UPDATE…Cheryl just informed me there are 3 more to come in the series!! YIPPEE!!
