This is my first weekend I’ve not had to do school work in the past month. Can you believe that for once I didn’t procrastinate til week end (which would be today, Sunday at midnight)? I actually got all of my business reading and writing assignments completed Thursday. Yeah, I’m pretty impressed with myself and to celebrate I had to visit the used bookstore (love the smell of old books, am I odd or just a book addict! lol). This is my last week of the e-commerce class I’ve been taking so I’m pretty stoked I’m able to relax today. That’s what Sunday’s are for but lately it seems to be a day I’m glued to my laptop.

Today I’m wrapping up Caridad Pineiro’s Sins of the Flesh (yes I found the book, if you don’t know what I’m talking about, you need to read Friday’s post). Found it last night in my book review bookcase where I DID look many many times! Apparently I just wasn’t meant to read it Friday night.

This Sunday Salon I thought I’d share a bit of my book world. Here are some pictures of how this Book Faery lives in book land. ONE of these days I WILL have my own personal library/meditation room where only this Book Faery will be allowed in! But for now, I’ll just have to make do, won’t I?

Now welcome to my world…The smaller white bookcase are the books that are on my to be reviewed list and some library books. The brown bookshelf has some of my favorite books and my personal to be read soon books. Right now I’ve got books and authors scheduled to February. The bigger white bookcase are books I’ve read or further down the to be read list. This bookcase is actually not located in the same room as the first two. I rotate books to/from the brown and this larger one. To balance my personal selection and requested reviews, I try to alternate between bookcases.

These books are my current guilty pleasure from Barnes and Nobles…gilded pages, painted hardback books of some of the classics. There are still some more from the collection I need to grab but I had to start with some of the favorites, right?

Now here’s my reading corner. Soft brown suede chaise lounge. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! Perfect for late night readings.

Now I bet I have you wondering some of the authors I have on my shelves. I’m sure you’ll find something here to read. Some (not all) authors I have on my shelf include:

Tamera Alexander, Anita Diamante, Jane Green, Michael Gruber, Stephen King, Sue Monk Chair, Dean Koontz, Eloisa James, Vladimir Nabokov, Fern Michaels, Tracie Peterson, Christopher Rice, Anne Rice, Norm Applegate, Thomas Harris, Francine Rivers, Nora Roberts, Tom Robbins, J.K. Rowling, Alice Sebold, Salman Rushdie, Maggie Shayne, Janelle Taylor, Bill Walker, Katherine Howe, Lynne Kurkland, Alice Hoffman, Stephanie Meyers, Audrey Niffenegger, Anita Shreeve, Cheryl Brooks, Tom Clancy, Judi Fennell, E.B. White, Lisa See, Laurell K. Hamilton, Georgette Heyer, Sabrina Jeffries, Chris Grabenstein, Philippa Gregory,

I also have historical books, biographies of various people who are or were in politics, metaphysical books (dreams, tarot, crystals, reiki), books on Kabbalah, the Gnostic Gospels of Jesus, Christian resources, cookbooks (are in my kitchen), financial resources, application books, writing reference books, etc.. Perhaps to some my books scream hypocrisy because of the wide range of topic but in truth I enjoy learning and reading all types of topics. It helps me understand things I didn’t know before and I like to think myself a pretty open minded imaginative person.

Authors visiting this week…Caridad Pineiro, author of Sins of the Flesh, will be stopping by The Book Faery Reviews on Wednesday the 11th.
