Pat,
Great characaters you've brought us. Those octegenarians sound terrific. Already they remind me of the folks my grandfather would introduce to me when I'd visit him. He's take me to the senior center for lunch and bring all his old cronies over to meet me. They were so interesting and so funny. Can't wait to read this book.

Glenda, you are so funny. Floozies and Fogies, indeed. For those of you who don't get the reference, I have a Book Marketing Floozy blog where I post articles about book promotion by various authors. http://marketingfloozy.wordpress.com

Thank you everyone for stopping by and reading my about my characters. They feel neglected because Mary gets most of the attention, so perhaps this will pacify them a bit.

[...] Today’s guest post took almost that long, which completely mystified me. It’s simply a brief description of my characters — my seven old fogies. I didn’t go into depth about their character flaws, the dreams that drive them, the failures that created them. Nope — just a simple description. I’ve been spending most of my words talking about my hero Mary Stuart, lumping her traveling companions into a group: crew of feisty octogenarians — former gangsters and friends of her grandfather. They deserve better than that. So please click here to visit The Book Faery Reviews and meet Snow White and the Seven Old Fogies. [...]

Pat,

I'm really enjoying learning more about your book as this tour progresses. The descriptions of your Seven Old Fogies are great. Things are starting to take shape for me. I believe I'll be reading your chapter next.

I love the duplicity of the characters. There are the obvious characteristics and actions of who they are and why they are following Mary on her quest. And yet they each have something beneath the surface, an underlying purpose to fulfill for Mary during this journey for knowledge.

One thing that makes these characters so much fun is the speed with which they rally around Mary and come to find the whole trip quite an adventure.
