You know what I enjoy about Sunday’s? It’s a day I choose to be lazy and do things that satisfy me which often entails lounging around the house with a book of my choice, playing games, or watching movies. Yep, I look forward to Sundays. Other than my Sunday Salon, I try to avoid any sort of writing or work because we all need some down time.

Before I get to what I’m reading today, thought I’d highlight last month’s book winners and what’s coming up so far this month at The Book Faery Reviews.

Book Giveaway Winners:

Coming up this week:

  • 10/5 – Robert Tuchman Author Guest Post (Young Guns)
  • 10/6 – Shauna Roberts Author Guest Post (Like Mayflies in a Stream)
  • 10/7 – Jane Doiron Author Guest Post (Make Ahead Meals)
  • 10/9 – G.H. Monroe Author Interview (That’s My Story!)

Don’t forget…Amelia Grey and SourceBooks are letting me giveaway a copy of The Rogues’ Dynasty: A Marquis to Marry this month. If you haven’t already checked it out, stopped by and read Amelia Grey’s author guest post where she talks about why she got into writing historical fiction.

So what have I picked up to read out of pleasure or because a book keeps popping up around me? Right now I am reading Anita Shreves’ book The Last Time They Met. There is something drawing to me about these two people who meet up at different points of Linda’s life. At 52 they finally rekindle their love, at 26 they are torn between their passion for each other and their love for their spouses, and at 17 they meet.

last_time_they_met

From the last time Linda and Thomas meet, at a charmless hotel in a distant city, to the moment , thirty-five years earlier, when a chance encounter on a rocky beach binds them fatefully together, this hypnotically compelling novel unfolds a tale of intense passion, drama, and suspense. – FROM THE BOOK BACK

Today I have TWO questions for you my dear reader, are you reading anything interesting right now AND if you are a book blogger, do you review the personal books that you choose? I’m thinking about not doing a “formal” review for my personally chosen books and just leave my discussion of them for Sunday Salons like I did above with The Last Time They Met since it is the day I read what I want to.
