It’s another Sunday here at The Book Faery Reviews. Besides enjoying Laced with Magic by Barbara Bretton, I have not been reading any other special requests this past week.
This week I have been reading Will Work from Home (which by the way is a great book for women who are trying to decide which is better: corporate telecommuting, starting own business, or working in direct sales) and The Most Common Errors in English Usage and How to Avoid Them as I have decided to take my freelance work to the next level and start a business in virtual office assistance.
The other night I about fell out of my chair when I happened to come across a passage written by an author that I have been interacting with both here and in Facebook lately. I had one of those “proud” moments. I was so excited about “knowing” someone I had to tell someone! My husband looked at me like I had 2 heads but of course my girlfriend understood why I was so excited. I had been interacting more on a non-book sort of relationship and to hear her start her writing and publishing career after being laid off just 4 years was an inspiration since it sounded so similar to my own situation. Being the person I am I had to immediately tell Carol Hoeing all about it on Facebook and the next morning she commented back:
Thanks, Farrah. That is so funny. You just can’t get away from me, huh?I am actually so grateful how things turned out. I really enjoy working for myself. (Arianna Huffington also writes about me in her book “On Becoming Fearless.”)

Something I have realized after working with various authors and publishers over the past year is that those who actually connect on a “normal” instead of the “celebrity” status are truly the ones you can not forget and make promoting them so much more fun.
